Hi Friends, It has been such a busy, [stressfull], exciting- yet very rewarding time in life lately. I am working on 902794635783 projects [all at once] and trying to make sure I make time for eating, sleeping and showering. You know, the basics. I am full on in the season of hustle! And its great. With this season of hustle I have been meeting so many new people + getting to take advantage of some pretty sweet opportunities! [Thank you universe!] This weekend I will be attending the VIP + Press Party for the Craft Box Girls Creative Studio, as well as attending some of the workshops they will be hosting Saturday + Sunday! AND I have the chance for ONE of YOU to win 2 tickets to the event + a spot for Sean O'Keefe's Scenting Your Homes for the Holiday workshop [The event is Saturday + Sunday @ the ADAC, this workshop is Sunday at 4:30-5:30]! If your not exactly sure what I am talking about, or want to know more about the Craft Box Girls + the {CBG}Studio event, keep reading! I did an interview with Lynn Lilly- Creative Director and CEO of Craft Box Girls, here's what she had to say! What is Craft Box Girls exactly? Why was this idea//community formed? Craft Box Girls is a digital platform for women to share and discover entertaining and engaging content. Craft Box Girls seeks to provide a forum for women to discover recipes, do it yourself projects, fashion advice, wedding ideas, health and fitness tips and more! The idea is to create a community of like minded women who can share their own content through our easy to use publishing platform and discover content from other users and our team of expert bloggers. The platform also offers users the opportunity to shop party supplies, handcrafted goods, gifts and craft boxes. The goal is to create one destination for women to create, shop and share their lifestyle! How many Craft Box Girls are there? Our core team includes, myself serving as the CEO and Creative Director, Courtney Covault serving as our Director of Content, Laura Burchfield serving as our Event Manager and Denell Pepin serving as our Associate Editor. We have a team of 17 bloggers on our staff as CBG Original Bloggers. How do other bloggers, D.I.Y. experts, entrepreneurs and crafty girls alike get involved in the CBG community? What are the benefits of getting involved? Craft Box Girls is set up so anyone can create a profile and start blogging and sharing their own pictures with the CBG Community. Users that handcraft their own goods can sign up to create a store front on the CBG Shop and sell their products. We created the CBG Shop to allow makers to have no-upfront cost way to take their craft to market. The platform is set up so they can also utilize our platform to publish lifestyle blogs about their products. I see that CBG are in multiple cities, where is your home office? Our headquarters are in Atlanta and will remain there. We feel Atlanta is a great environment to build a brand like CBG because Atlanta has many opportunity for female entrepreneurs to excel and grow their business. If there isn’t a CBG presence in my city currently, how can I bring CBG to my city? We are always loving hearing from our users and hope to one day be able to have a presence in ever major city. Users can reach us through our website or our social media platform. Can you give us a peak at what new things you see CBG up to in 2015?! We have lots of big plans in store for 2015 but I am most excited about the launch of mobile application which will allow users to create, shop and share anywhere! We are targeting a launch date of February 2015! How often does CBG host events? If I can’t make it this time, when will CBG be hosting another event? CBG hosts workshops and girls night out events 3-4 times a quarter. Our finale event for 2014 is {CBG} Creative Studio, a weekend long creative wonderland featuring hundreds of handcrafted goods from local merchants, design vignettes, workshops a pop up market and more. We will pick up with our community events in January 2015. If you create an account on our website you will receive notifiacations of events in your area! How many vendors will be at the event? Will it be cash only? or can I use my card? {CBG} Creative Studio is featuring 50+ merchants selling handcrafted goods through out the weekend. Merchants take cash and credit card. Will there be workshops at the event? Does it cost extra to sign up for these? {CBG} Creative Studio features 6 workshops through out the weekend ranging from Holiday Wreath Making to Blogger Bootcamp to Yoga to Scenting Your Home for the Holidays. The workshops range from $15-25 and include general admission to the event. General Admission for the event is $10.
