Hey Ladies { + any gents that may read } ! This is a biggg post { so be prepared }!!! One I have been thinking about a lot actually, but didn't exactly know what I wanted to say, or what I really wanted to post about. Lately I have been thinking a lot about my goals { I am one of those people that is always thinking/planning for the future- it can be good and bad }. I have learned so much that I didn't know about the internet/social media/blogging/running a business and has me inspired { naturally }! Also, a couple of weeks ago at church, the pastor talked about how its never too late to become a better you, even if you never really committed yourself to those resolutions you set early in January. The pastor of course had a much more eloquent message, but whatever he said resonated with me and had me thinking about the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the year, and how they have changed. How I have changed since I set those goals. AND I think the whole point is that I am okay with that. Maybe you have changed too, and things have turned out differently than you visioned them for yourself at the beginning of the year. Maybe it is change for the better and maybe not, either way its never too late to get yourself back on track with where you want to be/where you want to go. Plus, I have only been a student or a teacher my whole life, so in my world each semester is a chance to start fresh anyways! AND I go back in 20 days { yikes }! I am a firm believer in the fact that a lot { maybe even most } things in life aren't just going to happen, or come to you with out a little { or more like a lot } of hard work and planning of some sort. Being a teacher planning is something that is now engrained in me { again, this can be good and bad } . But this isn't just about lesson planning, meal planning, budget planning, or even life planning. Its about having a goal, or a vision of something you want for yourself, something you want to happen, or maybe you even need to happen + how your going to make it happen for yourself { by the grace of God + lots of hard work + a plan of action of course }! I keep a journal { lots of them } and have since 6th grade, so writing down my ideas, plans, dreams, etc. all comes very naturally to me. Organizing those thoughts, and putting them into action is another thing. I've noticed that I seem to get a lot of things accomplished by the skin of my teeth and its some how always works out, but in this next season of life I'd like to be able to set myself up to accomplish things a little better than that. { I'm getting old + can't handle the stress/anxiety that comes along with my procrastinating nature }. I find that I can so clearly know what my 'goal' or what I want my 'end point' to be but I never fully take the time to write down/figure out all the steps in between. Below I created some print outs { the teacher in me } to really help me hammer out where I want to be by the end of this year, and what the steps are going to be for me to get there. I honestly found these pretty helpful, and think that it is helping me see what I can realistically do between now and January 2015, despite what I have or haven't done thus far in 2014. Take a look at them below, and let me know if you decide to use them + give me some feed back! I'd love to hear what some of the goals are that you are setting for yourself for the remainder of this year! Ohhh, and I have also linked up to 5 awesome planners that I highly recommend if you are looking for a new agenda to start fresh in! These are pricey, but worth it!!! I think that its okay to take yourself seriously, and invest into things that are going to help you accomplish the goals you set before yourself! ![]()
