Hello Friends! Happy Wednesday :) Not to talk weather with you or anything... BUT the weather today, here in Atlanta was AMAZING! Highs in the low 70s + sunny! I'll take it :) Spring is around the corner! Which is why I needed to squeeze this outfit in before it got to warm out. I found this beautiful, slinky, comfy dress at the thrift store for 4 bucks! How awesome?! I got it just because I liked it. Shortly after, I came across a painting by Otto Dix [Pinterest board], with a lady in a red dress- just like my gold one! When I looked up Otto Dix, I fell in love with the dark and twisted way that he uses color to depict people of his time. He was a German painter out of the great depression, who also suffered from post traumatic stress disorder after WWI. Hence the underlying dark theme to all of his paintings. Even though these paintings came from a dark place of suffering in the artist’s life, something really beautiful was born. I am learning that this is often the case in life and art. Just like Sam Smith, who was broken hearted one day, wrote an album the next and then the next year he won 5 Grammys! Amazing things CAN come from the worst of situations, you just have to believe it to be so and keep on pushing through! ![]() <div class="myfriendcourt" style="width: 150px; margin: 0 auto;"> <a href="http://www.myfriendcourt.com" rel="nofollow"> <img src="https://static1.squarespace.com/static/549b6393e4b00eab7b27a2e4/t/54b5d10ce4b0b6572f6dfb6d/1421201703970/%23OnWednesdayWeWearArtHAt.png" alt="MyFriendcourt" width="150" height="150" />
