Happy Wednesday folks! Hope your week if off to a great start, either way its all downhill till the weekend! Woot-woot! Anywho, today I am sharing with you a new #OnWednesdaysWeWearART post! Yay!!! finally! I have been TERRIBLE about keeping up with these post lately. Life + work + all the freelance projects I have right now, I have been prioritizing what I do, and this just hasn't been making it. HOWEVER, when I am not too tired/overwhelmed, I really love fashion/style and I like coming up with creative new outfits. So choosing a piece of art to inspire my fashion is really fun for me, and I hope you enjoy these post! OR that you want to join in on the fun! If so, put together an art inspired outfit + snap a pic + post it on Instagram + use the hashtag #OnWednesdaysWeWearART so I can see what inspires your fashion! Today, my artist inspiration is a modern day Chinese artist who as lived/worked/studied in China, the US and Moscow. I honestly couldn't tell you a whole lot of info about her life, but I was drawn to her work. It reminds me heavily of Gustav Klimt [See my klimt post here] or Egon Schiele. What do you think? I love the way she depicts the figures, and all the color + patterns that she uses. I also think she does a good job at capturing how strong + free a woman can be, yet also show her vulnerability too. Check out my Xi Pan Pinterest board, here.
