Hayyyy Gals! + Happy Girl Crush FRYday! I hope everyone had a wonderful + inspiring + productive week! I sure have, and now I am OFFICALLY on S P R I N G B R E A K !!!! Woohoo! I am not going anywhere, or doing anything too exciting- but I wont be at work! I'll be at home painting + blogging my little heart out. Hopefully I'll do some rooftop relaxin' with a good book + a drink, working on my tan as well! Anywho, since its FRYday that means I have another girl crush to tell you about! Let me introduce you to my fran Marjorie! This gal is something else, seriously! Smart as a whip [Harvard!] and a creative genius to boot! Find her blog here, portfolio here and do your eyes a favor by following her on Instagram. Keep scrolling to read my [super thought provoking] interview with her! And this is one you DON'T want to miss! She started an inspiring Instagram/photo + color series called #WatchIt ! In the interview she opens up about the series and explains HOW and WHY she is redefining time. 1. How do you like your [french] fries [flavored &/or sauces &/or where from etc...]? Carne Asada Fries!! (Meat, Cheese, and guacamole heaven) 2. Favorite craft supply? plastic flowers! 3. Your 'Watch It' series- I LOVE IT, but we've got to know what inspired it? Thanks girl, I'm so glad to hear everyone's comments about it! I wanted to start a color series that was both fun and explored something meaningful to me. As someone who is constantly aware of time and planning for the future, I used to see it quite negatively. There isn't enough time, it goes too fast, or moves too slow. I wanted to explore what it could mean to define time in other ways that are not minute by minute, or year to year. When I fit things on the watch it's not only a colorful experiment, but also an exploration into other ways to define time in positive or unconventional themes. 4. Would you rather be invisible or be able to fly? I would totally fly! So many places I want to go! 5. What is your favorite sweet treat? My favorite treat is one my dad makes! We never gave it a name but it's essentially cut strawberries tossed in a sweet glaze/cream sauce. He always likes to prepare it on a plate and surprise me by using a different topping - chocolate drizzle, cinnamon, or coconut flakes. So many fun memories :) 6. Favorite Disney movie? My favorite disney movie is the all time (best) classic - Lion King! My life was complete when I travelled to Kenya one summer and saw the Swahili phrase "Hakuna Matata" all over the place.
