DIY: window sill washi
Yes folks, thats right...more washi tape! Actually- its black masking tape, but same difference. I totally got this from the wash tape craft @abeautifulmess did on their piano to add decoration. This window sill is in our bedroom where we have a statement black wall and pretty much everything else is white.
I originally had all of the plants on a self above our bed- but they began to die...I think they need more sunlight, so it was time to relocate them.
At first I thought I was going to be super technical about this and measure and make sure piece is exactly the right length....that lasted about 30 seconds. I did use scissors to cut a clean line each time though. And if your like me and use the masking rather than washi tape, masking tape does have a little sticky residue that builds up over time. To prevent this (and this works with any tape- including duct tape) add a little baby oil to the blades using a cotton ball/tissue! And no sticky scissors! I love the look it adds to our room and it only took me about 10 minutes!
