 Good Morning! It totally feels like a Monday for me, as I had yesterday off for the holiday. I hope all of you who had the day off from work enjoyed it some how. The weather was fabulous this weekend in Atlanta! Anywho, here is the collar necklace that I am wearing today. We are making Egyptian collar necklaces in 1st grade, so I thought this would be good inspiration/pair nicely with my lesson. My high school art teacher (Mrs. Mick- one of the greatest ladies ever! & a wonderful (tough) art teacher) used to poke fun at me for always matching my artwork. It is a tradition I have carried over into my career and I think she'd be proud- or at least amused! Below is pictures step by step how I put this thing together. Super easy!!!  1st you need LOTS of purrdy rhinestones!  and some all purpose craft glue that dries clear & 2 black pieces of felt!  I used a q-tip to apply the glue to the gems. No mess & easy clean up!  I laid out & played around with all the gems to get them exactly how I wanted before I started gluing. Using tweezers to place the small gems is very helpful!  after everything is glued down cut away the extra black felt.  trace onto piece of card stock.  cut out, and glue other piece of felt to card stock.  paint white parts black.  I punched 3 wholes on either side & laced/tied up with ribbon! Ta-dah!  Happy crafting!
