![]() Hello there, I hope your week is off to a great start! I was lucky enough to be able to sleep in a little bit today. Which is good, because I have been fighting a cold. But the rest of my day was busy, and productive! I am doing an internship this summer with Hilary Rushford from Dean Street Society, out of Brooklyn, NY. It has me soo excited and keeping me and my mind rather busy! It is only for 10 or so hours a week, however- everything I'm doing/learning about is so relevant to what I am doing/can do/should do/will do with my own blog/"small business" that I want to do as much as I can do soak it all in, and learn as much as possible! I am completely nerding out on webinars and social media books right now ;-P And blogging my little heart out in between times, so sorry if Im a wee bit anti-social. A lot of things are in the making around here! Anywho, I wanted to share with you this really fun purse make over I did the other day. My friend Leanna gave me this purse { even though she says she doesn't remember } a couple of Christmas' ago- I also got another one from Anthropologie that same Christmas that looked very similar, just a bit smaller. I kept them both { this one fit the i-Pad } , so after all this time- I have decided to give this one a face lift! I noticed an aztec trend going on every where, and then even remembered I own some aztec print stuff myself! So I decided to go with that and I thought a nice black and white pattern would be great with the reddish-brown leather. I do have to apologize, as I did not take any process pictures this time. However, there wasn't much to take a picture of. I just went for it! I know some of you may not feel as confident, so you could start with a pencil or pen first. I painted the black acrylic paint first and then let it dry. Once dried, I went in with the white acrylic paint. ![]() And for those or you less crafty readers out there, here are 5 similar styles that you can just go buy for the same look! 1. { Aztec } Cross Body Satchel 2. { Aztec } Carry all Tote 3. { Aztec } + leather 4. { Aztec } Colorful tote 5. { Aztec } Clutch What You Need { Leather or Canvas Bag | Black + White Acrylic Paint | Paint Brushes [tiny] | Aztec Prints/sketches [click link- then click on images] } xo,
