D.I.Y. : Palm Tree { Katy Perry } Dress

Hello Guys!

Happy Hump Day! We're half way through the week, I am half way through my summer vacation and we're half way through 2014! Time is flying by, so I have been reassessing some goals I set at the beginning of the year, seeing if I'm on track, seeing what has changed, seeing how I have changed- but more on that later. 

Today I thought I would share some pictures of the dress I wore to the Katy Perry Concert! If you follow me via instagram then you already saw a picture of this dress, but here is exactly how I did it, what dress of Katy's inspired me and then a few cute shots that Chris shot of my sis and I (and Olive too)!

And YES, of course the KP concert was a blast! I seriously think I got whip-lash from dancing too hard. I had wayyy too much fun!!! Worth every penny it cost to go see her! 

Free draw, or print out an out line of a palm tree onto a piece of card stock.

Be careful to let your palm trees dry a little bit as you go. You don't want to smear what you just painted AND you don't want to transfer paint from your stencil else where on your dress.

I used a sponge brush to carefully dab the paint onto the surface of the dress (you may want to put a sheet of paper in between the layers of the dress incase it bleeds through.
