In fact the other night Chris and I were eating dinner on the patio, and I told him I was thinking about making some concrete stones to go out there, to make it easier to walk on (its all pebbles). AND he just just started laughing.

I asked him:

Hello!

Today I am sharing the fruity shades that I made to wear with my KP palm tree dress . I had actually been wanting to make these for quite some time now. I had seen the ones on pinterest from Nasty Gal a while back, and knew as soon as I saw them that I wanted to make me my own pair! I'm not sure if you have noticed or not, but I am totally the type of gal that if I can make it- I'm not gonna buy it (unless I'm being lazy, or it just isn't cost effective...work smarter-not harder)!

Why are you laughing?  and he said "No babe, its fine. Make your own stones, It just that most other people would just go to Home Depot and buy them, but I get it."
Haha, we both just laughed, but I made sure to point out that a bag of 60lbs of concrete mix is only $4 dollars! (And do you know how many stones that will make?! ALOT!) Thats like as much as 1 stone!!!! ONE!

O K A Y , tangent....Follow the pictures below to see how I made these super cute Fruity glasses, and if you just aren't up for the D.I.Y. ( buttttttt its super easy, takes about 30 minutes, and saves you tons!) then you can see the { Psst! } at the end of my post with a link up to the ones on the nasty gal site!

Supplies { you won't even need one square of clay } + some other things...keep reading :)

The palmer (oven bake) clay will be really hard. Just work it in your hands, or use the rolling pin (or even a meat beater, if you have one) to soften it up to make it easier to work with. This is called 'kneading' the clay.

You can buy tiny-tiny molds at your local craft store, or you can just make them by hand. These are a few carving tools that I used too.

I painted all of the fruits + let them dry. Then I applied them to the sun glasses with hot glue! Finally, since I had some laying around (actually all of this was just stuff I already had just laying around) I sealed the top of the fruits with mode-podge Tah- dahh!
