So I finally wrapped all of the Christmas gifts up! and I guess it was about time seeing as it is Christmas Eve! At least our tree will be looking beautiful and full for one day! I really really love how the homemade wrapping paper turned out. I have already come up with a bunch of other designs for next time ;) I love designing patterns.
I used some greenery, yarn, twine, clothes pins, plastic din's (left over from my art club), wash tape and other things lying around the house to add embellishments to the gifts.
Hi there, and merry Christmas Eve Eve ;) Today is my first day of Holiday break and I got to sleep in and watch my morning shows! I can be a bit of a day time T.V. junky if I don't watch myself. hah!
Here is my list of 5 things I love about christmas and 2 pictures from Christmas dinner with Chris' grandma and family last night.
I went for a big & high top bun as it was a monsoon out all day yesterday. Thankfully my hair is long enough to do that again. Anywho, I LOVE this outfit! It has a few of my favorite things- polka dots, sparkle and turquoise! Both of the tops are Jcrew, as well as the necklace (similar). The shoes are from mod cloth & my bag is Kate Spade (similar).

A girl can dream ;) Happy Monday Every Body! Only 4 more days until I am on
Soo this post actually has nothing to with Friday the 13th, I just wanted to point out the date ;) Does Friday the 13th remind anyone else of Freaky Friday? (The Disney movie) I always wished I could switch places with someone for one day- who would you switch bodies with for a da y if you could? Or would you?
Anywho, back to what the post is really about. Last week Chris and I had a 1st date of our "12 Dates of Christmas" (we've actually had a few dates now- I just have been too pre-occupied to blog). It was my 1st surprise date (he is planning two surprises and so am I) and I wanted us to build a Christmas fort & watch Hunger games. Chris hadn't ever seen it before and one of our other dates is to go to AMC's dinner and a movie to see the second one. I read all of the books last fall and LOVED them. Which I was surprised by because usually I'm not into books like that. So I highly suggest the set if you haven't read them yet.
Building the fort was a snap with the help of a boyfriend and a powerdrill! All we used was twine, 4 small screws, an old white sheet & 2 old sheer curtains for the sides. We made a bunch of paper chains at school for our x-mas program decorations and had plenty left over, so I brought them home for the fort.
Sadly the fort fell down :( it was my fault- I step on one corner and the twine snaped. Then while trying to re-tie that corner, I pulled another corner until it snaped! And that was the end of fort time. Ha :)
Here's a flash back to me sitting in a fort Leanna, Melissa, Tricia and myself all made on the porch 4 years ago on our spring break trip to the beach. Silly girls :) obviously, I'm an avid fort lover.
