![]() So I have this denim shirt that I got from target last fall. It is one of those shorter in the front loner in the back styles, and after washing it, it shrunk and unless I tuck it in, or tie it up it is an awkward length for me. So I bought another one but never got rid of this one as the was it much different, and I thought I could still get some use out of it. Looking at the seams on the shirt the other day I got inspired to cut the sleeves off. I then used watered down acrylic paint and the eraser end of a pencil to stamp on the white wash dots! The whole shirt make over took about 30 mins todo- longest part is waiting for the paint to dry! outfit: Shirt & skirt: target necklace: www.groopdealz..com shoes: urban outfitters bag: hand-me-down from my grandmother & actually a DIY project a did 2 years ago painting on the peach stripe! So this list is super silly :) Seeing that I have been on my summer vacation I shamefully have been watching wayyyy too much tv this summer. It was just so easy todo being that it has rained here almost everyday this summer. Anywho, I am a total girls-girl and its not uncommon for me to have a girl crush on ladies on TV, but here is a list of some of the fellas I really love on day time T.V. If you know me well you know I am always talking about Dr. Phil- I love how he just tells it like it is. Steve Harvey does too, but makes me laugh. Dr. Oz & Dr. Stork are good looking and give great tips for your life style and Clinton Kelly will keep you looking good and your belly full! This is a doodle I did of all of the fellas in my sketchbook :)
Xoxo, Courtney So this past Sunday I went down to Fayetteville to hang out with my mom and sister (& to take Olive to meet everybody else in her family). Mom, Nicole and I ended up going shopping (of course). I got new make up and these top styler electric hair clamps. My mom and the lady at Ulta pretty much talked me into it but I am so happy I got them! I hardly ever take the time to do my hair. My blow dryer is travel size and cost me six dollars. My hair straightener is 6 years old, & I have a hair crimper from the 80's and some hot rollers my grandmother gave me. Hah! I just hate taking the time to do it, I never know what to do and I usually don't enjoy spending money on such things. These hair clamps are called Top stylers. It comes with a DVD to show you differnt techniques (but I haven't watched it yet). I just twisted my hair in small sections using my fingers and then clamped it! It took me about 5 mins to do my whole head & in another 5- by the time I was done with my make up my hair was ready! I used a little bit of hair spray and it held all day- & I don't have the type of hair that curls easily. Oh and the clamps took about 4 minutes to heat up! Great buy- it will make doing my hair before work seem effortless :) |
