Hello Friends! Today I am sharing with you a pair of sparkle boots I D.I.Y. 'd this weekend. It was my sweet friend Paige's bachorlette bash and she wanted everyone to wear sequins of some form. I wore a sequin skirt from H&M paired with these boots! I have worn these shoes to work almost everyday this week. What can I say, they add a little pep to my step! And the best part is......they are S U P E R easy to make! See below, to see what I used. First, I took off the tassels + painted the boot solid black [you could probably skip this step if you wanted to]. I let the paint dry, then I added a coat of mode lodge [a thicker coat will be best]. I added the glitter, and let it dry/set in all the way. Once your boot is dry, add a top coat of mode podge. It will seem as though you are cover up all your glitter, but the modge podge will dry clear, and this is what will seal your glitter in place. [All though, leaving sparkle everywhere you go would be okay with me!] Lastly, I glued on the rhinestones to the heels. At first I used hot glue. Then after a couple fell off, I went back and used super glue and it has worked out great! Whatcha think? Let me know if you make a pair too! Psst! : Next week is my 26th birthday! annnnd I have ZERO plans :D and after the few weeks I've had- I'd really just love a day to sleep, relax with no "to-do list"and maybe a massage too- that'd be nice! Did you ever see my post from last year's birthday? Check it out here. Trying to decide if I am going to do a special bday post this year, and if sooo about what? Suggestions welcomed ;P
