Happy Wednesday folks!
Hope your week if off to a great start, either way its all downhill till the weekend! Woot-woot!
Anywho, today I am sharing with you a new #OnWednesdaysWeWearART post! Yay!!! finally! I have been TERRIBLE about keeping up with these post lately. Life + work + all the freelance projects I have right now, I have been prioritizing what I do, and this just hasn't been making it. HOWEVER, when I am not too tired/overwhelmed, I really love fashion/style and I like coming up with creative new outfits. So choosing a piece of art to inspire my fashion is really fun for me, and I hope you enjoy these post! OR that you want to join in on the fun! If so, put together an art inspired outfit + snap a pic + post it on Instagram + use the hashtag #OnWednesdaysWeWearART so I can see what inspires your fashion!
Today, my artist inspiration is a modern day Chinese artist who as lived/worked/studied in China, the US and Moscow. I honestly couldn't tell you a whole lot of info about her life, but I was drawn to her work. It reminds me heavily of Gustav Klimt [See my klimt post here] or Egon Schiele. What do you think?
I love the way she depicts the figures, and all the color + patterns that she uses. I also think she does a good job at capturing how strong + free a woman can be, yet also show her vulnerability too.

So this post is WAYYYY over due, and I am actually so sad :( because I broke my phone shortly after this trip...and well, last week I finally was able to get a new phone. I thought I backed my phone up and well, I lost everything. And all of my pictures from my last trip out to San Fran for the Brit+Co Re:Make 2015 conference + festival, where I taught my live painting class.
Luckily, Chris was there- so he shot some photos on his camera + people who took my class did as well and used the #Remake2015 hashtag , so I got to see their pictures too!
Any who, see the pictures below to see what my weekend in SF was like. All of this took place at Fort Mason, just FYI.
Above is from Friday, the conference day. And below is form Saturday, the festival day- when I taught my class.
Psst! : Have you taken my class? If so, I'd love for you to e-mail me your testimony, email me @ Courtney@myfriendcourt.com and post a pic of your creation using the hashtags #paintwithCourt + #iliketoARTYhard so that I can see! AND if you haven't taken my class yet, watch the trailer + sign up here!
